Arsenal Set Aside €50M For Former Bayern Munich Forward

Arsenal have reportedly set aside €50 million for the prospective signing of Bologna striker, Joshua Zirkzee in the summer transfer window.

However, according Gazzetta dello Sport, as cited CaughtOffside, Manchester United and AC Milan have also been mentioned as possible suitors ahead of the next transfer window. Suggesting that the Gunners are not the only team interested in Zirkzee.

Throughout his time in Serie A, Zirkzee has truly drawn attention, and it’s possible that many other elite teams will be linked to the 22-year-old in the coming months.

Arsenal appear willing to shell out a lot of money for Zirkzee. However, it is possible that by summer’s end, €50 million won’t be sufficient to convince Bologna to sell.

Though Rasmus Hojlund’s departure from Atalanta for United last summer may have somewhat inflated the market. There is unquestionably a top talent there that seems worth investing in.

Zirkzee might be a significant improvement over players like Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus at Arsenal.

The Red Devils would also be wise to think about making changes there given Marcus Rashford’s lackluster season and Hojlund’s sluggish start at Old Trafford.

The Netherlands U-21 international was formerly on the books of Bayern Munich before eventually making the move down to Italy. The 22-year-old has scored 7 goals and provided 2 assists in 19 games across all competitions this season.
