Arsenal Star ‘decides’ Amid Interest From Aston Villa And Brighton, While Wolves’Really Want’ Midfielder

Aston Villa target Reiss Nelson is allegedly due to sign a new four-year deal with Arsenal that will keep him at the club until June 2027. Nelson’s future has been uncertain for months because his current contract expires at the conclusion of the season, but an extension is thought to be on the way.

The winger, who is also desired by Brighton & Hove Albion, has only played 173 minutes in the Premier League this season but has still managed to provide three goals and two assists. One of these was a last-gasp winner in a 3-2 comeback triumph over AFC Bournemouth according to skysport

Nelson would almost definitely have more certainty of playing time at Villa or Brighton, but he is now on the verge of extending his stay at the Emirates Stadium. According to The Athletic, the Gunners consider Nelson to be “an important member of the squad as Arsenal return to the Champions League next season.”

Injuries have slowed the 23-year-old’s growth, but he’ll be ready for the final game of the season versus Wolves, as well as the entire 2023/24 campaign. Arsenal’s return to the Champions League will put the club’s depth to the test, and Nelson could benefit.

In other West Midlands transfer news, Wolverhampton Wanderers are thought to be very interested in signing Bristol City star Alex Scott. Julen Lopetegui has apparently raised the ante on the transaction, which has been publicly publicized for quite some time.

Scott has gone from being a target to being on the top of Lopetegui’s list, according to the Express & Star, as the Wolves boss “really wants to sign Scott this summer.” Bristol City are believed to seek roughly £20 million, which might complicate negotiations.
