Arsenal midfielder, Declan Rice is reportedly ready to have a conversation with Ben White over his decision to snub England call-up.
Rice said he will speak with White as soon as they return to Arsenal. The 25-year-old will captain England against Belgium at Wembley. declared Everyone was taken aback when White said he would rather not play in the friendlies against Belgium and Brazil.
In spite of his outstanding club play, White appears unlikely to play for England again after leaving the World Cup in Qatar early. However, Rice believes he can persuade the 26-year-old to reconsider.
What Did Rice Say About White’s England Snub?
Rice told the BBC as claimed by Daily Star: “Obviously, Ben, if you know him as a person and as a player like I do, he’s such a good guy. He’s such a good guy and he’s an unbelievable footballer.”
He also said: “Gareth, dealt with it this week, spoke about it. We’ve obviously not been going into the training grounds, so I haven’t spoken to Ben on a one-to-one level about it.”, reports the Mirror.
“It’s hard to know really, what’s going on. Obviously, Ben made this decision.
“Obviously doesn’t want to play for England at this moment in time. Gareth has had a conversation with him about it and there’s not much else I can really say to him.

Playing for England, the greatest honour you could ever have. So hopefully, with the quality that he has and the quality he can bring to this side that we can get him back in.
“When you have a player like that in a squad who can be used in different positions, it’s really key. We can’t argue with that and hopefully, like I said, he changes his mind.”
