Arsenal are reportedly seriously willing to let go of Thomas Partey once the summer transfer window opens.
The Gunners boss, Mikel Arteta is said to be looking to invest the money to sign Aston Villa midfielder, Douglas Luiz.
Partey’s contract is set to expire in 12 months, and the Gunners are actively searching for a buyer as he has battled injuries this season.
Partey played in 16 games for Arsenal this season, and now that Declan Rice is Arteta’s starting midfielder, he is prepared to allow the Ghanaian to leave.
According to TEAMtalk, Fenerbahce and Barcelona are prepared to make an offer when the transfer window opens. As they are interested in signing Partey this summer.
Arsenal sporting director Edu, has already determined who would make the best replacement for the seasoned center midfielder, but there are still prospective candidates in the wings.
Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Arsenal will sell Partey in the upcoming weeks. And one player they may consider to replace him with is Luiz.
Luiz has been a target for Arsenal for a while, and since Unai Emery joined Villa, he has been a major factor in the team’s success.
This season, the 26-year-old made 53 appearances for Villa across all competitions, tallying an impressive 10 goals and dishing out 10 assists.

But convincing Luiz to leave Villa won’t be simple, especially now that they’ve qualified for the UEFA Champions League.
It will be interesting to see to what extent Arsenal are willing to go with their offer given that Emery’s side are believed to value the Brazilian at around £85 million.
