Arsenal Star Withdraws From International Duty Due To Injury Precautions; History Repeats Itself

Thomas Partey,  Arsenal midfielder, is expected to stay in north London rather than travel to Ghana for the international break.

Mikel Merino suffered an injury in his first training session with the Gunners this season, and Jurrien Timber and Ben White have also been out.

Partey played as a replacement right back in Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Southampton last weekend, and he has taken on a key role for Mikel Arteta. Reported By independent.

Partey has been an important and nearly constant member of Arteta’s team this season, as well as a starter in both of Ghana’s September international games. However, due to injuries last season, he missed eight consecutive matches for his country.

Footballers’ workloads and concerns about the repercussions of the fixture schedule have been frequently discussed recently.

Instead of joining Ghana for their two Africa Cup of Nations qualification matches, home and away against Sudan, Partey will stay in London Colney, purportedly due to an ailment he has been suffering from in recent days.

Kai Havertz will also miss out on playing for Germany, according to their national team’s official account, due to “knee problems,” despite the forward being fit enough to play the entire match against Southampton.

Captain Martin Odegaard, who was injured while on international duty for Norway, will concentrate on recovering from an ankle injury that has kept him out of action for the majority of the season for Arsenal.

The Gunners enter the international break unbeaten in 16 matches across all competitions, and they became the second club, after Manchester United, to win 400 Premier League home games.
