Arsenal have identified Hoffenheim sporting director Alexander Rosen as a possible candidate in their quest to appoint a director of football.
Hoffenheim have defied expectations in the Bundesliga this season and are currently third in the table, with young manager Julian Nagelsmann having thrived after being appointed by Rosen.
As reported by the Mirror, Rosen has done much good work in the transfer market for Hoffenheim, including getting a £26 million profit on the sale of Roberto Firmino to Liverpool.
Several potential names have been mentioned as Arsenal prepare for a structural overhaul, with former Gunners players such as Marc Overmars and Dennis Bergkamp reportedly being considered for the position.
Arsenal have endured a hugely frustrating season and now face a major battle to secure a top four finish in the Premier League, although they do still have a chance to end the campaign on a high by prevailing past Chelsea in the FA Cup final.
