Arsenal Target Matheus Cunha Slammed By Wolves Boss After Chelsea Defeat

Wolves manager Vitor Pereira blasted his star attacker, Matheus Cunha after the loss to Chelsea last night.

Despite having a season that improved his reputation with the Premier League underdogs, the Brazil international’s future at Wolves is still the subject of heated speculation.

It was widely reported earlier this month that the 25-year-old had reached an agreement on a new deal that would force him to dedicate the best years of his career to his present team.

But it turned out on Monday that talks had halted because of rumors that Arsenal, who are in dire need of offensive reinforcements, would make a new deal before the transfer deadline.

Cunha began at Stamford Bridge, but his manager reprimanded him for his sluggish performance, reports Metro.

‘I had this conversation in the dressing room,’ Pereira said.

‘He can be frustrated because he wants to win, but everybody in the team wants to win.

‘I don’t like this body language. I want someone as a captain trying to help the team – running, suffering, fighting together.

This is something I can understand. Next time, I will not understand.’

“This is something that cannot happen again,” Pereira continued, referring to Cunha marching straight down the tunnel at full time.
