Arsenal have reportedly been tipped to sign Athletic Bilbao winger, Nico Williams by triggering his release clause and also make the move to sign Napoli forward Victor Osimhen to solve their striker issues.
The 21-year-old has lit up Euro 2024 with a string of incredible performances as Spain advanced to the final, sparking intense transfer rumors about his future at Athletic Club.
Williams, who reportedly has a £50 million release clause and is considered a “dream” signing for Mikel Arteta by former Arsenal player Emmanuel Petit.
“Arsenal’s dream signing this summer would be Nico Williams,” Petit told bet365’s Euro 2024 as reported by the Evening Standard. “I’ve been watching him in Spain with his club, but he has impressed me a lot during Euro 2024, especially against Italy. It was a nightmare for the right-back. I think this guy could have a huge impact at Arsenal.”
After becoming dissatisfied with Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah’s performances, the Gunners are looking for a new frontman. This summer, they were unable to sign their top target Benjamin Sesko.
Petit wishes to see Victor Osimhen in north London despite his links with Rodrygo, Viktor Gyokeres, Serhou Guirassy, and Johan Bakayoko.

He continued: “People have also mentioned Benjamin Sesko, but I think Arsenal need to look at Victor Osimhen at Napoli, this guy has all the character he needs to thrive.
“He’s got great ambition and when I mention his character, he reminds me of players who were in the Premier League back in the day, huge characters.
