Arsenal To Stun Liverpool With Swoop For £50m Ace In Form Of His Life

According to rumors, Liverpool may miss out on signing Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo since Arsenal and Aston Villa have also expressed interest in him.

According to Football Insider, Arsenal are ‘plotting a move’ for Mbeumo after his impressive start to the season. The right winger, who can also play centre forward, has six Premier League goals in just eight games and is second only to Erling Haaland in the league scoring standings.

Arsenal are looking for a quality winger who can offer Bukayo Saka with cover and competition on the right flank while also playing in other areas as needed, similar to Leandro Trossard.

According to Football Insider, Arsenal officials have identified Mbeumo as the ideal solution.

Arsenal’s interest in the 25-year-old is a significant blow to Liverpool. Sources confirmed to TEAMtalk on September 30 that Liverpool is interested in Mbeumo as they prepare for Mo Salah’s likely move to Saudi Arabia at the end of the season.

Liverpool checks in with Mbeumo’s entourage on a daily basis to stay up to date on his status, but the race has heated up.

Not only will Arsenal compete with Liverpool for Mbeumo. It emerged on Sunday that Aston Villa are monitoring him too, while Newcastle United are also in the mix.

Brentford could earn a significant profit on Arsenal and Liverpool target

Brentford fans will be disappointed to see the Cameroon international leave, given his excellent form since joining the club, particularly this season. However, everyone linked with the Bees will be aware that Mbeumo is eager to advance his career by joining a prestigious Premier League club.

With the attacker’s contract set to expire in June 2026, he is in a great position to force a move next summer.

It’s similar to the position of his former Brentford teammate Ivan Toney, who was linked with Manchester United and Arsenal before moving to Saudi Arabia.

Brentford understands Mbeumo’s wish to move on, and they seek to be well compensated before letting him depart.
