Arsenal have reportedly identified Victor Osimhen as the man to solve their striking issue and finally win the English Premier League title for the first time since 2004.
Gabriel Jesus’ season-ending injury has left the Gunners lacking in the offensive aspect, while Bukayo Saka is also expected to be sidelined until March. Following summer interest in the RB Leipzig attacker, Benjamin Sesko became a target last week.
According to Football Insider as cited by London World, Osimhen may be Sesko’s replacement, and Arsenal have already ‘contacted’ him about a potential transfer.
Osimhen, a Nigeria international with 128 goals at the senior level, is currently on a season-long loan at Galatasaray from Napoli. But he is free to leave the team at any time.
On Friday night, he scored for the Turkish team as they overcame a goal deficit to draw 1-1 with Hatayspor.

The Gunners are not the only team interested in Osimhen this month, as Turkish media reported that Manchester United are considering a move. Journalist Kagan Dursun told Haber Sarı Kırmız that United had made a bid of £59 million but had it rejected.
Following their 2-2 draw against Aston Villa at the Emirates on Saturday, Arsenal are now six points behind league leaders , Liverpool having played a game more.
Further drop in points could the Gunners miss out on the league title yet again after failing agonizingly to Manchester City in each of the last two seasons.
Arsenal’s next match is against Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League, where they hope to guarantee their spot in the competition’s round of 16.
