Arsenal reportedly want Arsene Wenger to give them an answer over his future by the end of this month as they look to begin planning for next season.
The Gunners have offered the Frenchman a new two-year deal to stay on as manager, but some big names are being regularly linked with the job as the contract remains unsigned.
Wenger is free to leave Arsenal as his deal expires at the end of this season, and it is claimed that senior figures at the club are growing impatient for him to make a decision.
Having been in north London for over 20 years, Wenger has once again stressed his commitment to Arsenal, saying: ‘I don’t need to convince anyone – my preference has always been Arsenal.
‘I am not looking for jobs at other clubs, or from other people. The club is free to make the decision it wants and I will respect that.’
Still, The Sun claim that Wenger will need to decide one way or another as he is set to meet with club bosses over the next international break in three weeks, as they are keen to know where they are in terms of preparing for next season.
With big names like Massimiliano Allegri, Thomas Tuchel and Jorge Sampaoli being linked with the Arsenal job, the club could soon start the process of looking at a replacement for Wenger if he doesn’t respond to their offer soon, or indeed tells them he won’t be extending his stay.
