Jamie Carragher thinks Arsenal could ‘do well’ just to avoid defeat against Chelsea when they travel to Stamford Bridge for their Premier League clash this weekend.
The Liverpool legend saw his old side fight to claim a point against the Blues on Tuesday night, and is certain that that is the best Arsenal can hope for as well.
Chelsea have been in devastating form for much of this campaign so far, and currently sit nine points clear at the top of the Premier League table, with the Arsenal game a chance for them to put the Gunners out of the title race.
Carragher can’t see anything but Chelsea asserting their dominance over Arsenal again, as they’ve done so often in their recent clashes.
‘I don’t see Chelsea losing,’ he said. ‘I think Arsenal would do well to get a draw.
‘They’re on the back of a poor result last night. I think they’ll need picking up but they had been on a decent run before that.
But you always feel with Arsenal that in big games they’ll be found out or just come up a little bit short. I don’t see it being any different at Stamford Bridge.’
