Arteta Issues Four-Word Message To Liverpool After Arsenal Fall Behind

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has stated that he will not give up on winning the Premier League until Liverpool are mathematically confirmed as the champions.

Despite having a game in hand, the Gunners trail by 11 points to the Reds after a terrible weekend. Following a shocking loss to West Ham at home and seeing Liverpool thrash Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, Arsenal have just 12 games left to close the gap.

A series of injury issues, especially in attack, have further complicated Arteta’s cause.

However, according to the Daily Express, the 42-year-old is adamant that he would not let up while he still has a chance to win his first Premier League title.

“It was a very disappointing weekend, obviously,” he said during his press conference on Tuesday. “It was a very hard one to take.

“There are so many games to play and we have to get back to it. We have the levels and the hunger to get back to it again and that’s what we’re going to do.

“When you are there, you want more and more. I’m not going to stop – over my dead body. We will not stop thinking that way and giving it everything we can to be better than our opponents, regardless of what happens.”

When asked whether he had truly not given up on winning the title this season, Arteta reiterated the same four-word message: “Over my dead body!”
