After joining Aston Villa as a coach, Marc Albrighton is back where it all started.
The 34-year-old ended his football career after winning the Championship with Leicester City.
It was revealed at the end of August that his career, which started with Villa in 1998 and lasted 26 years, if you consider his time at the Villains academy, was coming to an end.
Albrighton has been doing some punditry work since hanging up his boots and he has been on the BBC’s coverage of the West Midlands club.
Since then, there has been an announcement that Albrighton would be joining the coaching staff at Bodymoor Heath.
John Percy, a Midlands football reporter for the Daily Telegraph, claims that he has joined their academy as a coach.
According to Percy, he will be coaching part-time in an effort to obtain some useful experience at a team he played for starting when he was eight years old, reports Birmingham World.
As a young Claret & Blue fan, Albrighton made 101 appearances throughout a six-year span. In addition to scoring nine goals, he had the opportunity to play for the side he had grown up supporting in Europe.
