Aston Villa Key Player Set To Play Against Wolves After Suffering From Foot Injury

Jacob Ramsey has resumed his training at Bodymoor Heath in advance of Aston Villa Premier League matchup with Wolves this weekend.

The 22-year-old sustained a foot injury during Villa’s 3-2 victory over Luton Town at Kenilworth Road at the beginning of March, and has since missed the team’s last four games across all competitions.

In addition to missing Villa’s Premier League games against Tottenham and West Ham as reported by Birmingham Live, he did not participate in either of the team’s Europa Conference League round of 16 matches against Ajax.

Villa will play eight games in all competitions over a four-month period, beginning on Saturday at Villa Park against West Midlands rivals Wolves.

Ramsey’s eligibility to play against Wolves will be announced by Emery at his press conference on Friday. A blow to the Villa manager came during the March international break when Matty Cash hurt his hamstring playing for Poland.

Due to Cash’s anticipated three-week absence from action, Ezri Konsa is a lock to start at right-back in the upcoming games. Due to an ACL injury sustained last month, Boubacar Kamara will miss the entire season. Tyrone Mings and Emi Buendia are also sidelined for the duration of the game.

Three points ahead of Tottenham in fifth place in the Premier League, Villa are presently ranked fourth. Prior to the March international break, Emery’s team overcame a 3-0 deficit to draw 1-1 with West Ham, while Spurs suffered a 3-0 defeat to Fulham at Craven Cottage.
