Aston Villa Set To Demand €60-70M For Barcelona Forward Target

Aston Villa are reportedly set to demand up to €70 million for Barcelona target, Jhon Duran.

The 21-year-old has been a revelation for the Villans this season following his 12 goals across all competitions despite the majority of his appearances coming from the bench.

SPORT recently reported Barcelona’s interest in Duran, which provided additional background on the team’s aspirations to sign the forward.

However, the source also states that Aston Villa are anticipated to demand at least €60–70 million for Duran’s services.

Since joining the Villans in 2023, Duran, a former player for Chicago FC, has seen tremendous success.

Unai Emery’s side have benefited greatly from Duran’s effectiveness in front of goal, as seen by his skyrocketing market worth up to €40 million.

The Colombia international’s contract doesn’t expire until 2030, so Aston Villa have every right to demand a high price. Barcelona might therefore be forced to turn their attention to other available options in the market.

The Catalan giants are eager to strengthen their roster even though registering Dani Olmo and Pau Victor is their top priority.

Given that the squad doesn’t have a suitable replacement for Robert Lewandowski, the attacking department in particular has shown itself to be vulnerable.

The Blaugrana have also been linked with a transfer move for Liverpool winger, Luis Diaz and AC Milan’s Raphael Leao.
