Aston Villa midfielder, Douglas Luiz has reportedly had his head turned as a result of intense interest from Arsenal and Manchester City.
This season, Luiz has performed admirably for Villa. It wouldn’t be false to argue that he has been among the Premier League’s best players this season.
The 25-year-old has propelled Unai Emery’s team to the top 4 of the Premier League standings with five goals and three assists so far this season, where they are mingling with the best in the league.
According to Football Insider as cited by Caught Offside, Luiz has had his head turned and is aware that major Premier League clubs are interested in him.
Although Villa intend to keep Luiz. They are determined to get more than £100 million for him even if they have to let him go. In light of the recent high-profile transfers of Declan Rice, Moises Caicedo, and Enzo Fernandez in the Premier League, they think the asking price is reasonable.
Led by Emery to third place in the Premier League, Villa have been this season’s success story.

The Brazilian midfielder would gladly stay unless Villa accepted a bid for him, as his move still appears improbable. For Luiz’s career, a transfer from Aston Villa to either Arsenal or Man City would be a significant step forward.
It’s difficult to say no to these teams because, under Mikel Arteta and Pep Guardiola, respectively, they both contend for trophies on a regular basis and play some of the best football in Europe.
