Aston Villa Will Suffer A “Huge” Injury Blow Before The Man Utd Match

According to Manchester World, A report in the Telegraph suggests that Ezri Konsa may be out of action for “significant period” for Aston Villa.

According to the outlet, the defender is “still being assessed” following his replacement in Saturday’s victory over Sheffield United and will undoubtedly miss this weekend’s matchup against Manchester United. Konsa hurt his knee when he crashed into the post during the second half. The 26-year-old, who started every Premier League game this season and participated in every league game the previous season, would be major loss for Villa in his absence. He was formerly of Brentford.

Pau Torres’s injury has made Konsa’s injury worse, and the Spaniard hasn’t started any of Villa’s last six league games because of it.

Tyrone Mings has missed nearly the whole season due to a knee injury, and Lucas Digne is also absent for Villa. Emery will probably choose a back four of Matty Cash, Diego Carlos, Clement Lenglet, and Alex Moreno at Villa Park on Sunday since the quartet is predicted to miss out.

For Sunday’s match, Nicolo Zaniolo is also questionable, and Emiliano Buendia and Jhon Duran will undoubtedly be absent. While Anthony and Lisandro Martinez will be out for United, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Tyrell Malacia, and Mason Mount are getting closer to making a comeback.

Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho scored goals as United defeated West Ham United 3-0 the previous weekend to get ready for the match. Villa won 5-0 at Bramall Lane on Saturday, an even more convincing victory.

In the rematch at Old Trafford on Boxing Day, Emery’s team allowed a two-goal lead to slip when Hojlund scored and Garnacho scored a brace once more. The former European Cup winners are looking to make it to the tournament’s modern era for the first time in their history, and they are currently eight points behind Aston Villa in fourth place.
