Atletico Madrid are reportedly growing confident that a deal for Chelsea midfielder, Conor Gallagher is possible in this summer transfer window.
Gallagher has entered the last year of his Chelsea contract, and the club are believed to consider offers for him this summer.
The 24-year-old has suitors in the Premier League, where it is thought that Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing him. But he also has big suitors in Spain, where Atletico Madrid have identified him as one of their top targets.
The Spanish daily AS as cited by Inside Futbol reports that Chelsea and Rojiblancos are in talks, and an agreement for his transfer has not been perceived impossible.
Given Chelsea’s strong demands for the midfield talent to leave, the negotiations are anticipated to be difficult and complex.
While Atleti are trying to buy him for between €35 and €40 million, the Blues are demanding a sum of €45 million.

It remains to be seen if Gallagher’s Premier League admirers make a move for him in the upcoming days and weeks.
Chelsea are said to be looking for funds to stay in line with the Profit and Sustainability Rules and selling Gallagher who is an academy product will represent a pure profit. Which could be what the London club need to balance their books.
