Atletico Madrid have reportedly reached a transfer agreement with Chelsea over the signing of Conor Gallagher.
The deal is not yet sealed as Rojiblancos will have to do enough convincing to lure the 24-year-old to Wanda Metropolitano.
According to The Athletic, Gallagher turned down a late contract offer from Chelsea. It appears that the England international will be leaving Stamford Bridge this summer, as the Blues would prefer not to lose out on him for nothing next summer.
Now, according to Diario AS as reported by Football Espana, Chelsea and Atleti have reached an agreement for a €45 million transfer. Which is nearly what they had first demanded for the midfielder. With an offer from Atletico on the table, Gallagher will now have to decide whether or not to make the move.

Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa have also expressed interest in the 24-year-old. And it appears that the former is trying to sabotage the deal.
It looks as though his fate will be decided soon, as Atletico give him till the end of the week to reply to their contract proposal.
Last season, Gallagher featured in 34 matches for Chelsea. He scored seven goals and provided 9 assists across all competitions.
