A late goal from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang saw Borussia Dortmund come from behind to secure a 1-1 draw at home against Hertha Berlin.
It appeared to be a difficult day at the office for Aubameyang with the striker hitting the post on 67 minutes, before seeing an effort from the penalty spot saved in the 77th.
However, the Gabon international slid in to covert a cross from Ousmane Dembele with 10 minutes remaining to level the tie, and deny Dortmund their second consecutive loss in the Bundesliga.
Had Thomas Tuchel’s men been defeated it would have been the first time under his management they has lost twice in a row in league football.
The draw instead sees them go 25 Bundesliga matches undefeated at home, breaking a 50-year record.
Valentin Stocker had put Hertha ahead in this contest following some creative play from Vedad Ibisevic to split the Dortmund defence.
The Switzerland international was then sent off late on in the match for a poor tackle, while Dortmund also had Emre Mor dismissed earlier in the second half following a push on Sebastian Langkamp in reaction to a challenge.
Dortmund remain one point behind second-placed Hertha in the Bundesliga table, while reigning champions Bayern Munich are three points ahead of Tuchel’s side.
