Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has used Instagram to thank Cristiano Ronaldo for giving him his shirt following Tuesday’s clash between Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid, which the striker has since passed on to his son.
Dortmund and Los Blancos played out a terrific contest in the Champions League earlier this week which ended 2-2 after a late equaliser from Andre Schurrle.
Ronaldo swapped shirts with Dortmund’s Aubameyang after the fixture – the Portuguese forward had scored Real’s first goal in the match.
And Aubameyang has taken to social media to reveal that he has given the shirt to his young son, a move that has made the forward a very popular father with his child.
The 27-year-old has used his Instagram message to thank Ronaldo for the match shirt, enclosing a picture of his son holding it high.
Ronaldo and Aubameyang will meet again later this year in the Champions League when the return fixture is played at the Bernabeu.
