Trainer Kim Bailey has confirmed connections are in no rush as they try to decide Vinndication’s next race. The six-year-old returned to action on Saturday, winning the Grade Three Sodexo Gold Cup at Ascot. Vinndication beat the likes of Regal Encore and Black Corton on that occasion and connections could be in for an exciting jumps campaign. He is now resting at home after his five-length win, and Bailey says nobody is in a rush to make the call on his next outing. “He’s fine, but we’ve no idea where we’ll head next,” said the Gloucestershire trainer. “We’ll give him time to get over the race, and then we’ll see. He seemed fine afterwards, so we’ll think about it over the next few days.” Vinndication’s victory was his first since December 2018, although he did go close at Sandown and Cheltenham at the start of the year. He won his first six races to date and connections will be hoping he stays fit as the Cheltenham Festival fast approaches.
