Bale Gives Verdict Over The GOAT Debate With Champions League Answer

Former Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur winger, Gareth Bale gave his own opinion on the Greatest of all Time debate with an answer to the greatest ever to win the Champions League.

Bale has personally won the competition five times with Real. And he was instrumental in los Blancos’ victory over Liverpool in the 2018 final.

The Welshman came on as a substitute and scored twice, including a spectacular bicycle kick that cemented his place in the club’s history.

Bale also won the UCL trophy after Los Blancos defeated the Reds in the 21–22 season’s final game. However despite being on the team, he was not involved in the encounter.

He saw the Champions League final between Manchester City and Inter Milan last season from a different vantage point. Because he had retired from the professional game in January after the 2022 World Cup.

Bale responded to a range of questions from PlayStation before the match between City and Inter in Istanbul. Including who he thinks is the greatest player to win the Champions League.

According to the Sport Bible, Bale did not choose any of his former teammates when asked by PlayStation to identify the finest player to have won the Champions League.

Instead, he chose the four-time champion and Barcelona icon Lionel Messi.

However, he did pause for a moment before responding. Suggesting that there may have been more than one option. But his response makes it plain who, in his opinion, is the greatest recipient of the illustrious trophy.

After leaving PSG for Inter Miami this summer, it is doubtful that we will see Messi play in the Champions League again very soon.
