Bale in London to discuss future

News that Gareth Bale flew to London to meet with his agent on Monday is sure to cause more speculation that his days at Real Madrid are numbered. The Wales international looked set to quit the Bernabeu during the summer after a breakdown in his relationship with coach Zinedine Zidane.
However, Los Blancos pulled the plug on a potential big-money move to China at the 11th hour, leaving the former Tottenham man frustrated with at least another four months in the Spanish capital.
The 30-year-old has knuckled down the best he can, scoring two La Liga goals from six starts to help Real reach sixth in the Spanish top-flight standings, just two points behind table-topping Granada.
Rumours of unrest will not go away, however, and a report by the Daily Mail suggests Bale met with agent Jonathan Barnett in London to talk over his future.
Real Madrid gave the Wales captain permission to travel and it seems unlikely he will be in the squad to face Leganes on Wednesday evening.
It has been said that Zidane has tried to patch things up with the forward after stating over the summer that it would have been better for all concerned if Bale left the club, but the fact he has left the squad suggests that has not happened.
Only time will tell if the former Southampton ace is made available in the January transfer window and whether any Chinese clubs are still interested.
Bale has been linked with Manchester United in the past but the Red Devils seem to be moving away from signing older players as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is investing in youth.
