Former Premier League star, Mario Balotelli has been involved in a ghastly car crash in Brescia, Italy.
The forward, who previously played for Manchester City and Liverpool spent time in his hometown of Orzinuovi, recovering from an injury sustained while playing for Turkish club Adana Demirspor.
According to Giornale di Brescia, an Italian daily as reported by The Standard, the accident occurred at approximately 8.30 p.m. local time.
According to the reports, the 33-year-old seriously damaged his Audi Q8 and activated the airbags when he smashed it into a low wall.

Balotelli managed to get out of the car, although he was seen limping a little bit as he approached a nearby ambulance.
Giornale di Brescia further asserts that Balotelli’s driver’s license was seized as a result of his refusal to consent to a breathalyzer test.
The report also states that Balotelli was picked up from the crash scene and driven home by his brother Enock Barwuah.
After six years apart, Balotelli has expressed his desire to rejoin the Italy national squad following his nation’s qualification to the 2024 Euros in Germany.
“If I’m well, I still consider myself the strongest,” Balotelli told TVPlay.
