Barcelona Ace Now Just One Goal Away From Breaking Records Like Lionel Messi And Cristiano Ronaldo

FC Barcelona has one of the most successful and illustrious histories of any club in the world. La Blaugrana has always been proud of the kind of football they played, regardless of how successful they were in elite events.

Luckily for Barcelona, the custom is still followed today.

But it’s not always easy to play against such elite opponents and be asked to play a flowing and elegant style of football.

In order to play the type of game they have in the past, the Catalan giants have frequently required the assistance of elite players.

Thankfully, the club continues to have an abundance of elite players.

Among those players, Robert Lewandowski, a 36-year-old Polish star, is arguably the most accomplished and seasoned at the greatest level of football.

His statistics support his claim to be one of the most prolific strikers of his time, even though his background speaks for itself.

The Pole has made just 124 appearances in the UEFA Champions League thus far in his career, scoring 99 goals, reports Barca News.

Lewandowski is now only one goal away from being one of the few players to ever score a century of goals in Europe’s top cup tournament, along with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

To date, only two players have achieved that career milestone: the Portuguese legend (140) and the Argentine (129).
