One of the many Barcelona youth players to make an impression on the first team this season is Marc Guiu.
At the age of just 18, the striker already had a significant impact, having scored goals against Athletic Club and Royal Antwerp in his La Liga and UEFA Champions League debuts, respectively.
Barca Universal believes Barcelona thinks highly of Guiu, despite the fact that he hasn’t played much in the second half of the season.
Actually, according to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona is quite pleased with Guiu’s growth and output.
In light of this, the Blaugrana have begun preliminary talks regarding the 18-year-old center-forward’s contract extension.

Guiu’s current deal, which he signed in 2022, is set to expire in the summer of 2025, with a two-year extension option retained by the club.
Although Barcelona believes Guiu should have a new contract altogether because the previous terms might be out of date, that is a possibility that should be investigated.
As a result, the club has announced that they plan to modify the striker’s contract to reflect his new status during the first talks with the player’s group.
Guiu, who has surfaced as Real Sociedad’s summer loan target, is content at Barcelona and isn’t interested in hearing about any other offers because his main goal is to be successful with the Catalan team.
