Barcelona are reportedly weighing in on the move for Napoli midfielder, Stanislav Lobotka in the summer transfer window.
The Catalan club are believed to be in search for a defensive midfielder, with Bayern Munich star, Joshua Kimmich, Everton midfielder, Amadou Onana and Feyenoord’s Mats Wieffer among the list of midfielders they want.
According to Barca Universal, Lobotka’s agent, Branislav Jarusek claimed that Barcelona are eyeing the 29-year-old. But indicated there are a lot of things that need to be put in place for a deal to happen.
“We talked about it with Deco, Barcelona would sign him, but a lot of things would have to happen first,” said the player’s agent.
“Stanislav sent me a screenshot of Xavi’s statements, I photographed him one of all the times we talked about him because Xavi asks me a lot of times about Lobotka,” he revealed.
Further hinting that Lobotka would be very open to joining Barcelona. Jarusek added: “He’s almost 30 years old, he doesn’t have many years left as a professional. He would like to play for a club that is fighting to win the Champions League.”

On the other hand, Lobotka’s contract with Napoli expires in the summer of 2027. And the Serie A defending champions have the option to extend it by an additional year.
Because Aurelio De Laurentiis, the president of the Partenopei is reputed for seeking a premium price for his players, Barcelona would find it difficult to pull off a deal for Lobotka.
