Barcelona Considering Two Main Remedies For Marc Bernal’s Injury

Barcelona defeated Rayo Vallecano on Tuesday night to maintain their perfect record, securing their first victory over Rayo in three years and ensuring their status at the top of the table until the next matchday.

Bernal, 17, is scheduled for testing on Wednesday to confirm his ailment, although Blaugrana medics believe he has suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury. That would effectively keep him out for the remainder of the season, following a fantastic start to his professional football career.

Bernal, who had started the previous three games, was expected to play an important part at the base of Barcelona’s midfield.

Their intentions have been thrown into doubt. Sport reports that there is no hint that Barcelona will attempt to bring in a replacement before the transfer window closes.

According to reports, Marc Casado, who started Barcelona’s opening game against Valencia, and Pau Prim at Barca Atletico are the leading prospects for Bernal’s minutes.

Prim has never played at the senior level, although Casado has more experience and may be more defensively aware than Bernal.

However, he has yet to demonstrate the same poise on the ball or vision as Bernal in his initial appearances for Barcelona.
