FC Barcelona youngster Julian Araujo is ‘seriously considering’ the opportunity to go on loan at recently promoted team UD Las Palmas this summer, according to journalist Achraf Ben Ayad.
According to reports from last week, Las Palmas were keen to sign the 21-year-old on a loan for the upcoming season, and it was implied that a deal might be close to completion.
Later reports, however, suggested that this was untrue and that Araujo was eager to prove himself to Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez during the preseason in order to remain with the team.
However, according to Achraf Ben Ayad, Araujo may have changed his mind given that his playing time will probably be limited in the following season.

As things stand, Barça have Jules Kounde, Sergi Roberto and Sergino Dest as options at right-back, apart from the Mexican international.
However, it must be noted that Dest could be offloaded if an offer comes along.

Even then, the La Liga champions are looking to bring in a new right-back with Joao Cancelo, Pablo Maffeo, and Ivan Fresneda all being possible targets.
As such, if Araujo stays at the club, the 21-year-old is likely to be way down the pecking order, given his zero experience in European football. So a loan move away would be the best course of action for the young right-back.
And Las Palmas could end up landing Araujo, who arrived at Barcelona in January but is yet to make his debut for the club as his signing was not ratified by FIFA due to delays in paperwork.
