Barcelona Determined To Finalize Deal On Spanish Star This Week

Barcelona has not yet made a high-profile summer deal with less than a month to go until the transfer market closes.

Even though it’s been connected to several names, nothing has happened as of yet.

Dani Olmo is a player with whom Barcelona is closely associated. The Catalan team hopes to finalize a deal for the 26-year-old Bundesliga player by this week.

There are important days ahead in this transfer drama.

Olmo has previously had transfer bids from the Spanish team, reports Barca News.

RB Leipzig rejected the first but Barcelona’s updated bid of €55 million plus €7 million in add-ons demonstrated to the German team how serious Deco and company are in landing the Spaniard.

It is important to note that the player and the club have previously agreed on contract terms that extend until 2030.

Although there are encouraging indications, Olmo’s transfer has not yet been confirmed between the two teams.

The article also states that, in light of Barcelona’s problems with FFP, the 26-year-old needs assurances from the Spanish team about his registration.

Bayern is still a threat in the background, waiting to take advantage of any opening.

Despite the slight value difference, Sporting Director Deco is still hopeful about acquiring Olmo. More significantly, the two clubs must now reach an understanding over the payment schedule and its due dates.

It is imperative that RB Leipzig sell this summer, but not at any cost.

The German team will only let Olmo to depart at the proper price and won’t back down in talks. All parties are in Germany trying to finalize this agreement as quickly as possible, including Deco and Olmo’s representatives.
