Barcelona director Robert Fernandez was in attendance for France’s 2-2 draw against Germany in Cologne last night, with Spanish reports suggesting he was monitoring Antoine Griezmann .
The French striker came on as a 76th minutes substitute for Arsenal’s Lacazette in the high-profile friendly and RAC 1 report that Fernandez was there to keep tabs on the Barca transfer target.
Griezmann was strongly linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer, only for any potential deal to be scuppered when Atletico Madrid were hit with a transfer ban.
The 26-year-old vowed to remain at the club, who would not have been able to bring in a replacement, but there are reports that the Catalan side have an agreement in principle to sign the forward.
The Red Devils are also still said to be interested.
Fernandez was only able to get a brief look at the striker following his appearance off the bench, as France boss Didier Deschamps opted to go with Lacazette, Anthony Martial and Kylian Mbappe up front in Germany.
