Barcelona Eyeing €30m Manchester United Player As Another Left-Wing Option

FC Barcelona has been working hard to sign a top-tier left-winger during the summer transfer season, but they have failed to do so with only a few days remaining. Nico Williams was their top objective, but as he appears increasingly unlikely to join the Blaugranes, other players have been connected with the Catalan club recently.

In the previous two days, Juventus winger Federico Chiesa has been linked with Barcelona, while the media has been rife with tales of the Blaugrana’s interest in AC Milan attacker Rafael Leao.

Meanwhile, according to the Spanish daily SPORT, Deco is also considering Manchester United winger Jadon Sando for the post.

The Red Devils are still not banking on the English winger following a successful half-season on loan at Borussia Dortmund, and they are willing to sell him for roughly €40 million, despite Transfermarkt’s valuation of €30 million.

For the time being, no team has made an approach for him, but some feel they can sign Sancho on loan this summer. This is also true for Barcelona, where he may be a valuable loan player. However, his huge pay may cause complications for the Blaugranes.

His History?

The winger has been with Manchester United since 2021, but he has struggled to make an impact in the Premier League. Erik ten Hag benched him during his third season due to a lack of enthusiasm in training, and he was later loaned out to Borussia Dortmund in January. Sancho has played 83 appearances for United, scoring 12 goals and assisting six times.

His final appearance for United occurred in August 2023, but his loan spell at Dortmund demonstrated that he still had the ability and talent to be a valuable asset to any team. However, his expensive salaries will be a problem for Barcelona, and it is unclear whether Deco would pursue this option further in the coming days.
