Barcelona are reportedly one of the three clubs interested in Mason Greenwood following his impressive start to life at Marseille.
According to talkSPORT, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich are the other clubs in race with Barcelona for the 22-year-old.
After moving to France for £26.6 million in the summer, Manchester United have a significant sell-on fee.
During his loan spell with Getafe in Spain last season, Greenwood scored ten goals in 36 games across all competitions.
Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid were also scouting him at the same time. But the team decided not to make a formal proposal, which allowed Marseille to step in.
Greenwood has also had a great start to the season in Ligue 1, contributing five goals in four games.
As of now, he leads the division in scoring; in the top five leagues in Europe, only Erling Haaland has more goals than him.
Greenwood scored twice in the 5-1 victory away to Brest to start his debut, opening his account in just three minutes.
It should come as no surprise that his great start to the new campaign earned him the award of August player of the month at Marseille.

In France, Greenwood is hoping that his quick start will help him win over some of the supporters who weren’t delighted with his arrival.
After being suspended by United, the England international with one cap has been rebuilding his life and career over the past year.
