Barcelona Faces Difficulty In Signing  Bundesliga Star For Free

Barcelona pursuit of Jonathan Tah is progressing smoothly, but one major stumbling block remains: Bayern Munich’s determination to give up on the defender.

According to SPORT, Bayern Munich is desperate to sign the 28-year-old centre-back, despite Tah’s desire to leave Bayer Leverkusen when his current contract expires.

Deco, Barcelona’s sporting director, has lately been in Germany, finalizing the terms of Tah’s transfer to Barcelona for the coming season.

His travel is a clear sign that negotiations are continuing, and it demonstrates that both the player and Barcelona are interested in the trade.

A long-term aim.

Tah has been on Barcelona’s radar for several months, and his transfer is becoming more plausible as his contract with Leverkusen expires.

There is no indication that he would renew his contract at Bayer Leverkusen, and both Tah and his agent, Pini Zahavi, have ruled out the prospect of remaining.

Negotiations between Barcelona and Tah’s representatives are thought to be proceeding satisfactorily.

In reality, Barcelona has made an appealing offering that might see the midfielder join the Catalan club as a free agent when his contract expires.

This would allow Barcelona to avoid paying a transfer fee, making the transaction even more desirable to the club.

However, Bayern Munich is not ready to give up just yet. Despite Tah’s wish to go, Bayern’s sporting director, Max Eberl, is reportedly working hard to persuade him to stay in the Bundesliga and sign with the club.

The German giants are still battling for Tah, and this competition is the only thing preventing Barcelona from sealing the deal. While Barcelona’s chances look excellent, Bayern’s resilience means the outcome is not yet certain.
