Barcelona have joined Paris Saint Germain in the race to sign Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho, according to reports in Spain.
The Brazil international is one of Jurgen Klopp’s key men at Anfield and last season was his most productive since joining the club, scoring 12 goals in 43 appearances.
His performances have led to rumours of interest for foreign clubs.
And his international team-mate Dani Alves claimed the 23-year-old is capable of playing for the Spanish champions.
“Football is about living the moment. Liverpool have history but you should consider playing for top UCL sides,” Alves told Yahoo Esportes.
“He has the quality to play for Barcelona.”
Now Spanish daily Marca are reporting Coutinho is being courted by Barcelona and PSG.
The report says the French champions have already made an £23.5million offer but it is not enough to tempt Liverpool to selling, therefore opening the door for La Liga winners to swoop in.
