On Monday, one day prior to the deadline for registering the Spanish international, Barcelona lost yet another appeal for Dani Olmo’s precautionary registration for the remainder of the season.

Olmo was only registered for the first half of the season after Barcelona paid almost €55 million for him in August because they couldn’t pay La Liga’s wage ceiling.
The allowance for the next four months is scheduled to finish at the end of this month.
Due to long-term injuries that kept first team players out of the squad for months, the club was able to register Olmo and forward Pau Victor because Barca was able to use some of their salary to do so.
The club’s plea to temporarily register Olmo was denied by Barcelona’s Commercial Court number 10 on Friday, and the Court of First Instance number 47 agreed with that decision on Monday.
LaLiga claims that because Olmo failed to meet all of the requirements for the preventive measure’s adoption, the court denied his request for precautionary registration.
The initial decision to not register Olmo was taken by LaLiga’s Budget Validation Body, reports RTE.
Barcelona will play fourth-tier Barbastro on the road in the Copa del Rey round of 32 on Saturday.
They are currently three points behind leaders Atletico Madrid in the La Liga rankings.
