Barcelona midfielder, Gavin is reportedly absent from training as he continues to recover from the ACL injury he sustained last year.
The Catalan club are set to host Young Boys in their second UEFA Champions League match at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys.
After losing to AS Monaco earlier this month, the Blaugrana will be looking to bounce back and win their first game in Europe after suffering a 4-2 loss to Osasuna.
According to Mundo Deportivo as reported by Barca Universal, Gavi did not train with the rest of the team today as Barcelona began their pre-game preparations at the Ciutat Esportiva complex.
This month, the 20-year-old midfielder returned to training with the team following a ten-month absence due to an ACL rupture that he suffered in November of 2023.
Given how long Gavi has been out of the game, Barcelona are being cautious with their midfield gem, even if he has been training well and feels ready to return to duty.
As a result, the La Masia phenomenon was forced to work alone in the gym today, apart from the rest of the group, and there was never any thought given to his participation against Young Boys tomorrow.

According to the same report, Frenkie de Jong, another long-term absentee for the Blaugrana, trained with the team and might receive approval from the medical department.
After recovering from his ankle injury, the 27-year-old has been working out with the group for the past week or two.
