Barcelona are reportedly monitoring the development of Botafogo winger, Luiz Henrique.
Henrique inspired Botafogo to a 3-1 win against Atletico Mineiro 3-1 securing the club’s first ever Copa Libertadores title. Luiz Henrique led his team to win with a goal and an assist, even though they were reduced to ten men from the second minute on.
After failing to leave his stamp on the Benito Villamarin, the 23-year-old left Real Betis earlier this year and returned to Brazil. Botafogo sealed a €15 million transfer to make him return to his home nation, and he has contributed 12 goals and 6 assists in 51 games this season.
Henrique has also established himself with the Brazil national team. He has scored twice in six Selecao outings and is vying with Savio Moreira for a slot on the right wing.

According to Sport as reported by Football Espana, Barcelona are tracking his progress. They had previously scouted him when he was at Betis, and based on his current achievements, the Catalan daily claims that the Blaugrana still think about him.
Under Manuel Pellegrini, the Brazilian displayed glimpses of his potential, but he was never able to create a sustained run of play at Betis. Henrique was suspected of sport-betting earlier this year, but nothing has been done about it.
This week, he also had to deal with Brazilian police after his ex-girlfriend’s sister attempted to use an intimate video to blackmail him for money.
