Barcelona have reportedly reached an agreement in principle for Athletic Bilbao winger, Nico Williams ahead of a potential transfer this summer.
Barca’s first priority for the current summer transfer window is Williams. Before concentrating on other matters, the Catalans were hoping to sign a pivot in the midfield, but the Spaniard’s achievements at the UEFA EURO 2024 have compelled the Blaugrana club to give him top priority.
Although Barcelona were also considering other options like Dani Olmo and Luis Diaz. The younger of the Williams brothers is suddenly appearing more and more like the favorite to bolster Barcelona’s left wing for the upcoming campaign.

The youngster’s release clause will therefore need to be paid by the Laliga giants first. As the Basque club has already stated they will not be negotiating for his transfer with any side.
