Barcelona are reportedly ready to make an enormous move for Manchester City talisman, Erling Haaland.
Haaland is said to be ready to move to La Liga, and there have been rumors about when he may do so. However, Barcelona president, Joan Laporta is convinced that he will sign the 24-year-old as one of his last actions as president.
The City striker is considered by many to be the best center-forward in the game at the moment, so he doesn’t need an introduction.
Since joining the Etihad in 2022, the Norwegian striker has weakened Premier League defenses. According to Spanish publication Sport as reported by TEAMtalk Barcelona may be his next destination.
The report claimed that as one of Laporta’s final actions as the Catalan club’s president, will direct all of the team’s attention and resources into acquiring Haaland.
Barcelona hope to sign Haaland in the summer of 2025 or 2026, as Laporta’s current contract expires in 2026.
Barca’s search is aided by the assertion that the team has a positive working relationship with Rafaela Pimenta, Haaland’s agent. Both parties are said to have “a lot of trust,” which is regarded as one of the club’s main advantages.

Additionally, it has been argued that Barcelona would have a much better chance of pulling off the coup if Pep Guardiola were to leave at the end of the current campaign and/or Man City were disciplined for their suspected FFP violations.
