Barcelona are reportedly willing to make a move for Bayern Munich midfielder, Leon Goretzka in the summer transfer window.
According to The Hard Tackle, the Catalan club are heavily interested in the 28-year-old, who has been a key player for Bayern this season.
Since joining Bayern Munich from FC Schalke 04 in July 2018, Goretzka has been a consistent presence in the middle of the park. The German midfielder, who was once a trainee at VfL Bochum, became well-known while playing for Schalke. But he left the outfit almost six years ago as a free agent, which infuriated the supporters.
In addition to other trophies, the 28-year-old has won five Bundesliga titles and one UEFA Champions League during his incredible success at Bayern Munich. Goretzka, meanwhile, has had a respectable 2023–24 season, contributing 14 goals in 35 games, scoring four goals, and dishing out ten assists.
Goretzka’s long-term future at Bayern Munich is questionable, though, as the Bavarian strongholds are eager to reassemble their team following a dismal 2023–24 campaign.
The former Schalke wonderkid’s value is still high, though, and Barcelona are thinking of acquiring him from the Bundesliga giants in the summer transfer window.
The Germany international has the skills to fill in at midfield. Even though Barca would prefer a holding midfielder.

The Blaugrana club are thought to be considering several players, including Amadou Onana, according to recent reports, in addition to the Bayern Munich midfielder.
While Goretzka will instill a winning mentality in the team, the Everton star may be Barcelona’s long-term middle-of-the-park solution.
