As the summer transfer season draws to a close, FC Barcelona has a limited time to make their intended market movements. As things stand, the Catalans are still attempting to assimilate some players into their squad, while simultaneously working on several files to offload some of their current players.
Vitor Roque, a Brazilian youth, is one such talent the Blaugranes have been seeking for in a new team. After joining the Catalan club in the past winter transfer window, the striker has failed to please either Xavi or Flick, and a move away from Barcelona remains the best option for him.
Recent reporting on this topic indicated that Roque was moving closer to a loan to Real Betis, and FC Barcelona have now officially announced this loan transfer on their website.

According to the club’s announcement, the two sides have agreed to extend Roque’s loan until June 30, 2025, with Betis having the option of an extra year. The Verdiblancos will also have the option to buy the player at the end of the loan.
Roque made 16 appearances during his half-season at Barcelona, 14 in La Liga and two in the Copa del Rey. Despite his reputation as a goal-scoring prodigy in Brazil, he only scored two goals in these contests. Still, the first of his goals was significant for Barcelona, as it earned them all three points in a match against Osasuna.
With this move to Real Betis, Roque will have the opportunity to gain more game time and become more accustomed to European and Spanish football. If he impresses during this spell, he may be able to return to Barcelona, where he hopes to fulfill his ambition of success.
