Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo is getting closer to playing again, but his chances of facing Borussia Dortmund are still uncertain.
According to SPORT as reported by Barca Universal, the coaching staff feel that Araujo needs a little more time before he is prepared for competitive action, even if he has fully recovered from his injury.
Araujo is optimistic and is awaiting word on his eligibility to join the team in spite of this.
It should be mentioned that the 25-year-old participated in a training session last Sunday, confirming that he is well enough to play again.

However, before he is given consideration for selection, the coaching staff wants him to increase his level of fitness through terrific group training sessions.
The Uruguayan is therefore anticipated to be left out of the Barcelona squad for this Saturday’s game against Real Betis.
It’s interesting to note that, in spite of the setback, Araujo could travel with the squad to Dortmund for Tuesday’s Champions League match.
After five months away, this would give him time to adjust and gain a sense of what it’s like to be back with the team. Araujo’s contribution to the game would obviously be small, though, as there isn’t much of a chance he will play.
Araujo is probably going to play in Barcelona’s upcoming home game against Leganes if he is not selected for the Dortmund game.
