Barcelona midfielder, Frenkie De Jong is expected to make a return back to the squad in their UEFA Champions League tie against Shakhtar Donetsk following his injury against Celta Vigo on Saturday.
Due to Real Madrid’s defeat by Atletico Madrid on Sunday. And Barcelona’s 3-2 comeback victory over Celta a day before, meant the Catalan club finished the week as the league leaders.
However, it came at an expense when de Jong, a crucial midfielder for Barça, was injured during the game against Celta.
In fact, the 26-year-old had to leave the game against the Galician team during the first half due to an injury. And the club later announced that the Dutchman had sprained his right ankle.
It was announced shortly after the injury’s discovery that De Jong would not be able to play again till possibly the month of November.
According to Barca Universal, the former Ajax midfielder’s possible recovery date is now known.

Based on the report, De Jong will reportedly return to Barcelona in their November 7 match against Donetsk on the fourth matchday of the Champions League.
The Dutch midfielder would be out for the ensuing six weeks. Missing two UCL games and key La Liga matches against teams like Sevilla and Real Madrid.
