Barcelona have reportedly offered Eric Garcia to Aston Villa due to their eagerness to bring in Marcus Rashford from Manchester United.
Barcelona and Rashford are believed to be close to reaching an agreement. But the Catalans don’t have much time to sign the Red Devils winger.
A move for Garcia makes sense because Aston Villa, who were after Loic Bade, have been informed that a deal for the Sevilla player will not be going through.
According to TBR Football, Villa, Brighton, West Ham, Wolves, and Newcastle have all made offers for Garcia.

La Liga side Girona, where Garcia played on loan in 23–24, and Serie A team Como, which is led by former Barcelona star Cesc Fabregas, have also expressed interest.
Earlier this week, Garcia scored a header in a thrilling Champions League match against Benfica.
Although he is by no means a regular for the Catalans—transfermarkt notes that he has only played 661 minutes in 17 games across all competitions—he has shown himself to be a dependable backup when Barcelona has needed him.
However, Barca has depth in the central defensive position with Ronald Araujo signing a new long-term contract with the club on Thursday. Pau Cubarsi playing at the age of 18, Andreas Christensen waiting to regain his full fitness, and Inigo Martinez recovering from injury.
