Barcelona have submitted a new €50million bid for Robert Lewandowski in an effort to finalise a deal for the superstar striker.
The future of the Polish star has dominated the summer transfer window, but it appears the saga is nearing an end, with the German giants demanding a deal by Saturday, according to reports.
Barcelona have not yet been able to meet Bayern’s asking price for the striker, who netted 50 goals in 46 games last season.
However, according to RMC Sport, Barcelona has made a new bid for the sought forward worth £43 million, which is closer to Bayern’s expectations.
Xavi is on the verge of signing Leeds winger Raphinha for £63 million and has signed winger Ousmane Dembele to a new long-term contract at the Nou Camp.

The former Borussia Dortmund star surprised Bayern Munich at the close of last season when he expressed his wish to leave the Allianz Arena after eight years.
The 33-year-old, who is one of the most dangerous forwards in world football has stalled on a new contract with just one year remaining on his current, has told club executives that he wants a fresh challenge.
After Lewandowski’s comments about his future generated doubts about his attendance, he returned to preseason training with Bayern on Tuesday morning.
He is scheduled to return to training with Julian Nagelsmann’s team on Wednesday, but according to reports, Bayern wants a deal closed this week so they can present their team for the forthcoming season.
They also want to prevent any hostilities between Lewandowski and Bayern supporters during their upcoming preseason schedule of friendlies. As a stand-in, Sadio Mane from Liverpool has already been signed.
