Goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen of Barcelona has explained how his summer vacation allowed him regain his best form this season.
The Barcelona goalkeeper has excelled in the early stages of the season and has only conceded one goal in La Liga. The solitary goal was in the Real Sociedad game in La Liga matchday 2.
After missing his team’s Nations League games over the summer, Ter Stegen has returned to the Germany team during the current international break and has looked good.

The goalkeeper explained that he opted to take a break after the end of last season instead and says the rest from the game has done him a world of good.
What Did The Barcelona Goalie Say?
Ter Stegen replaced Germany’s starting number one, Manuel Neuer, who was forced to withdraw after testing positive for Covid-19.
Speaking about his new-found form, Stegen said: “The summer has gone very well for me, because I could relax and free myself a little from everything.
“But above all mentally, because I did almost nothing while I was on vacation and from time to time it is necessary to recharge batteries.
“And so I was able to start well and be in good condition.”
After playing twice for Germany against England and Hungary, Ter Stegen will now return to Barcelona.
