Raphinha became one of the most talked-about figures following Barcelona’s encounter against Real Betis, despite only appearing in the final stages of the game.
The winger was obviously furious following the 1-1 draw, not just because Barcelona wasted a chance to extend its lead over Real Madrid to six points, but also because of a series of officiating blunders that fueled his rage.
Raphinha was dissatisfied with the assistant referee’s decision to award a throw-in to Real Betis in the dying minutes of the game, believing it should have gone the Blaugrana’s way.
Seconds thereafter, referee Gil Manzano decided to blow the final whistle, appearing to overrule his assistance.
Raphinha was outraged at the decision, and coach Hansi Flick and Marc-Andre ter Stegen had to hold him back near the tunnel to avoid a potential sanction. Reported by Barcal universal.
Raphinha’s rage could not be contained, as he argued with one of Manzano’s assistant referees over what he saw as an improper decision.
Raphinha sparked the altercation by saying, “It is that way, darn it. What are you saying? “You shut up.”

When the assistant referee attempted to calm him down, his rage grew even stronger. Raphinha screamed back:
“You will not tell me to quiet up. I refuse to shut up. This is the last time you advise me to stay quiet. What do you think you’re doing? “F*** your mom.”
The assistant replied, “Do not shout at me,” but Raphinha ignored the advice and continued the confrontation.
Raphinha’s work did not end with the last whistle. He approached the assistant again, accusing him of disrespect: “You are rude. You are rude. Don’t tell me to quiet up.”
